As the number of swine flu cases continues to rise around the globe, the US government has urged Americans to be prepared for a new outbreak as Autumn approaches.

The US says it'll have a vaccine ready in time for when the cooler months hit.

Health officials have been warned that they have very little time for a possible resurgence of swine flu in the northern hemisphere autumn, the traditional flu season.

Swine flu is continuing to spread, and is in 202 countries and every state in the United States.

There is concern that possible resistances to tamiflu may exacerbate the spread of swine flu.

Clinical trials will start in August with the aim of having a vaccine ready by mid-October.
