Seven cars had to be guided out of floodwaters in the Hunter Valley as storms lashed NSW on Friday night.
The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) said there were 350 requests for help with the majority of calls coming from the Sydney metropolitan area, the Hunter, the Central Tablelands and the Mid North Coast.
SES spokesman Phil Campbell said many roofs were damaged due to fallen trees and branches.
'There was also a rescue of seven vehicles trapped in the Hunter near Singleton,' Mr Campbell said.
'SES and ambulance helped guide those vehicles to safety.'
Mr Campbell said the weather was expected to improve over the weekend.
