Police release new 1982 bombing images

Police investigating the 1982 bombings of the Israeli consulate and the Hakoah Club in Sydney are releasing new images of a woman and two cars believed to have been involved.

The bombings on December 23, 1982, at the consulate in William Street and a vehicle parked in the Hakoah Club car park at Bondi injured two people and caused significant damage.

NSW Police and Australian Federal Police have reopened investigations into the bombings.

Police said they believe gas cylinders used in the blasts came from the NSW State Rail Authority.

Investigators from RailCorp have therefore been working closely with Detectives from Operation Forbearance.

Police will release an updated fact sheet and images, including of a woman and two cars believed to be linked to the blasts, at a media conference.
