A 76-year-old anti-royalist has been ordered to stay away from Prince Charles and his wife Camilla after being accused of planning to assault them.
Castislav Sam Bracanov entered a not guily plea when he appeared in Auckland District Court today to a charge of preparing to commit an assault.
He was charged after being arrested at a venue on the royal itinerary in Auckland yesterday, although the royals were not in the vicinity at the time.
Bracanov was bailed on the condition that he not go within 500 metres of the royal couple.
