Melbourne will take the NRL premiership trophy back home to Victoria later this morning with a grand final celebration with their fans planned for AAMI Park.

The Storm triumphed 14-4 in last night's decider against Canterbury, erasing some of the pain of the 2007 and 2009 titles that were stripped from them for salary cap rorts.

The match was however marred by a biting allegation against Bulldogs prop James Graham by Storm fullback Billy Slater.

The case is likely to be referred straight to the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night.
