The Australian Greens have called on other politicians to boycott Sydney radio host Alan Jones, following his comments about Prime Minister Julia Gillard's father dying of shame because his daughter was a liar.
The veteran broadcaster has publicly apologised for the comments in a speech to a Sydney University Liberal Club fundraiser, but Ms Gillard is refusing to speak to the broadcaster.
The Greens already boycott Jones, labelling his commentary hate media rather than political, and deputy leader Adam Bandt says other MPs should do the same.
Jones' comments have also sparked calls for him to be sacked from Sydney radio station 2GB, and for an advertiser boycott.
