The trucking company under investigation over a crash that killed three people describes safety as a major priority.

On its website, Lennons Transport describes itself as a leader in the transport industry, with 30 employees and 22 trucks worth $7.5 million.

'Lennons Transport Services implemented a strategy that ensures that Lennons and their clients' due diligence requirements are met by implementing the Trucksafe Industry Accreditation program as well as the Transitional Fatigue Program,' the company says on its profile.

'It is a policy of Lennons Transport Services that we will operate to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of all our employees will never be compromised in the day-to-day operations of the business.'

Lennons says its fleet is maintained and serviced by supplier dealerships across the country as well as its own mechanics in its Sydney Depot.

'All vehicles are maintained under a rigid service program, which ensures that safety and reliability levels are second to none.'

The company's clients include Ikea, Toll Holdings, the Warehouse Group and Aventis Pharma.

Police launched an investigation into Lennons on Wednesday with inspections on trucks at the company's head office in Enfield and checking stations across NSW.

They later revealed they had detected eight Lennons trucks with safety defects, including evidence in six of them that speed limiters had been tampered with and false log book entries.

The investigation came after police on Tuesday charged one of Lennons' drivers with dangerous driving causing the deaths on January 24 of Calvyn Logan, 59, and his elderly parents Donald and Patricia Logan, in their 80s.

On Wednesday the company's managing director Tony Lennon expressed sympathy for Logan family on the company's website.

'As this incident is under investigation by the police, I am obviously unable to comment on the accident itself but I would like to express our deepest sympathy to the families involved in this very tragic accident,' Mr Lennon said.
