Fortescue Metals Group and its subsidiary The Pilbara Infrastructure will stand trial on the same day for allegedly failing to prepare adequately for a cyclone.
TPI is charged over the death of 47-year-old Perth mother Debra Till who was killed when cyclone George hit a railway construction camp 100 kilometres south of Port Hedland in the early hours of March 9 2007.
42 year-old Craig Raabe was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital but also died two days later from severe head injuries.
Neither FMG or TPI has been charged over his death.
FMG and TPI have both pleaded not guilty to a charge of failing to provide and maintain adequate safety procedures in the event of a cyclone.
The trial has been set for April 12 it's expected to last five weeks.
