Airport drug ring busted in Perth

Police have busted a drug lab operating inside an airport hangar, when they pounced on the hangar's owner when he landed his plane at Jandakot airport in Perth.

48-year-old Stuart Exeter Hyder, has been charged with a string of drugs offences and was refused bail in court today.

Police say chemicals and glassware used to manufacture methylamphetamine were found on a plane which was flown from Busselton yesterday afternoon.

Police have also searched of a number of properties in Perth's southern suburbs and Busselton.

He's due to return to court next week.

A 29-year-old man was also charged and is expected in court on Wednesday.
