Greg Inglis completed a hat-trick for NRL champions Melbourne Storm when he was awarded the 2009 Golden Boot and being adjudged the game's best player.
The Kangaroos centre follows in the footsteps of Storm team-mates Cameron Smith and Billy Slater, who won the award, presented annually by Rugby League World magazine, in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
Slater and Smith were on the 2009 short-list, alongside England pair Gareth Ellis and Kevin Sinfield and New Zealander Fuifui Moimoi.
The voting panel included Australian legend Wally Lewis, who was the first winner of the Golden Boot in 1985.
Inglis scored a crucial try for Australia in Saturday's 46-16 Four Nations final win over England, after which he was voted player of the tournament.
