A group of German skinny dippers braved temperatures of around 11 degrees on Christmas Day to take a dip in Berlin's Oranke lake.
The members of the Berlin Seals were in festive spirits, wearing nothing more than Santa Claus hats for their icy swim.
The daring swim is part of an annual Christmas Day event held across Europe.
But, what is the attraction of swimming in icy water?
'It's just a great feeling afterwards. Just have a look around everyone is in great spirits, everyone is laughing, it's a beautiful feeling,' Berlin Seal Regine Held told Reuters.
'You save on beauty products because afterwards, the skin is so soft and you don't even have to put any lotions on. When you're old, this is great,' added Dieter Komolke.
The Berlin Seals were founded in 1979 in East Germany when nudist beaches were common.
