The owner of a 14-year-old blind poodle has been given the ok to take her pet to the nursing home.

Beverley Lynch, owner of Chien, has been told her dog is a nursing home pioneer.

After 40 years, Chien managed to convince Summerhill Nursing home in Adelaide to change its rules about pets.

Mrs Lynch said she thought they would lose each other to aged care.
