There are reports the ANZ will today unveil plans to slash a number of jobs to reduce growing costs at the bank.

Executives will meet with members of the Finance Sector Union, which has previously claimed up to 900 jobs could be at risk.

Earlier this month Westpac announced 400 jobs would be lost and 150 more sent overseas.

Meanwhile, the Commonwealth Bank and the N-A-B are preparing to hold separate reviews for their mortgage and business rates.

This week the big four banks are expected to announce first-quarter profits of more than one billion dollars.
