Police say a Melbourne man will appear in court today following an armed stand-off that ended when a police car knocked him over.
They say the man was wielding a samurai sword and a meat cleaver when officers were called to Taylors Lakes about 11.30 (AEST) yesterday morning.
The man allegedly threatened the officers who used capsicum spray and then used the car to hit the man forcing him to drop the weapons.
He wasn't hurt and will face court today on charges including reckless conduct endangering life assaulting police and drugs and weapons charges.
