Two men armed with a machete and a meat cleaver have struck at a hotel in Sydney's inner west.
They forced their way into a hotel on Glebe Point Road about 12.40am (AEDT) on Tuesday, then threatened a staff member, demanding money, police said.
The hotel employee could not access the safe and called out to colleagues. The men, who had their faces covered, grabbed an iPhone belonging to a staff member before running from the hotel. They did not take any cash.
The men were last seen heading towards Anzac Bridge. No one was injured in the robbery, police said.
