Bob Katter has been mobbed by a group of excitable bingo ladies after he called them a bunch of good-looking sheilas.
The federal MP, whose new party is contesting next month's Queensland election, sparked cheers and applause in a rock-star style encounter at Gympie, north of Brisbane, on Wednesday.
The bingo ladies called out to the federal leader of Katter's Australian Party as they headed to a game at the local RSL, The Courier Mail reports.
'All you good-looking sheilas are here because you knew I was in town,' he called back, prompting more applause.
Mr Katter was on the election trail in the Queensland city with candidate Shane Paulger, campaigning for the re-regulation of the dairy industry.
