One man has died and another is injured after a collision between a motorcycle and utility in Melbourne's north.
Police said the utility was driving on Gillwell Road, Lalor, when it collided with the motorcycle about 12.15pm on Saturday.
It is believed the utility was turning right and the motorcycle was attempting to overtake the vehicle on its right-hand side when the collision occurred, police said.
Two people were on the motorcycle and police are not yet sure if the dead 28-year-old man was the driver or passenger on the bike.
The other motorcyclist, also 28, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with a leg injury and the driver of the car was unharmed, police said.
The death takes Victoria's road toll to 33 for the year, compared to 21 for the same time last year.
