Shot Adelaide Comanchero boss Vincenzo Focarelli is now facing drug charges.
Crime Gangs detectives on Thursday night arrested the 37-year-old from Wattle Park, who is still in Royal Adelaide Hospital after being shot in an ambush on Sunday that killed his 22-year-old son Giovanni.
Focarelli has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and 12 counts of breach of bail.
A bedside court hearing is planned for Friday.
The self-appointed Comanchero leader is recovering from four gunshot wounds and surgery to remove a bullet from his skull.
The ambush in a northern suburb has fuelled fears of a bikie war in the city, after a spate of bikie-related shootings, including a gunfight at a popular city restaurant last month.
