Weather forecasters have downgraded the chance of a tropical cyclone developing off the Northern Territory coast tomorrow but say there's still a moderate chance one could form on Thursday.
Senior weather bureau forecaster, Chris Davies, says a tropical low is tangled up with the coast at the moment and it needs clear water to form into a cyclone.
Mr Davies says the cyclone risk would have been downgraded for Thursday as well but there's a chance a new low could develop in the Timor Sea.
