Victoria are clear atop the Sheffield Shield table after thrashing Queensland inside three days at the MCG.

The Bushrangers made 378 and then bowled the Bulls out twice cheaply to win by an innings and 50 runs.

The reigning title-holders now have 14 points from three games and are six points clear of their nearest rivals, Queensland and South Australia, with a game in hand.

David Hussey was the man of the match for his 174.

The Vics and Bulls play a one-day game at the MCG on Wednesday.
