It's been revealed that IVF blunders have destroyed the parenthood dreams for more than 100 Victorians.
Embryros have been destroyed during a blackout, or lost when an IVF clinic flooded.
Other mistakes include a woman giving birth to a boy, after requesting only female embryos because of a genetic condition.
The Infertility Treatment Authority has investigated several serious incidents at Victoria's fertility clinics over the past five years.
But lawyers say compensation is difficult, as there's no way of measuring a parent's loss.
