Westfield Group says it has been appointed to develop, design, construct and manage a shopping centre in northern England.
The group will also manage the shopping centre following the completion of the STG260 million ($A405.43 million) development in Bradford, Westfield said in a statement on Friday.
As part of the agreement, Westfield said it would sell its interest in the Bradford centre to Meyer Bergman, a London-based real estate investment management firm.
Westfield said it would sell the site for a price in line with book value.
'On completion of the transaction, Meyer Bergman will become the owner of the Bradford site,' Westfield said.
'Meyer Bergman will appoint Westfield to the development, design, construction and leasing roles for the new project.'
Construction was expected to begin in the second half of 2013, Westfield said.
