Australian shares have closed lower after the Reserve Bank lowered its inflation and growth forecasts.
At the close, Australia's benchmark SP/ASX200 index was down 37.6 points at 4,245.3, while the broader All Ordinaries index was at 4,322.6, down 34.5 points or 0.79 per cent.
On the ASX 24, the March share price index futures contract was down 43 points at 4,212, with 26,035 contracts traded.
