On Thursday, Italy's Mount Etna put on a vibrant show with powerful eruptions lighting up the night sky.
Burning hot lava trickled its way down the mountain, while hot ash and smoke was seen billowing over the southern island of Sicily.
Authorities were forced to close nearby airports and no injuries have been reported.
