Coldplay have cancelled a promotional visit to Sydney, hinting at plans for a full Australian tour later this year.
The British band was due to perform two intimate shows for 2DAY FM and Sunrise during a brief stop on February 16 and 17.
Coldplay blamed personal reasons for having to pull out, but the Grammy-winning four-piece has promised to return soon.
'We sincerely apologise to our Australian fans for having to postpone next week's scheduled trip,' Coldplay said in a statement.
'We miss you guys and we promise we'll make it up to you. In fact, stay tuned for a big announcement soon.'
It has recently been reported that frontman Chris Martin is suffering jet-lag and a cold, but the band is expected to go ahead with its performance with Rihanna at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.
Coldplay last visited Australia for their one-off Splendour In The Grass headline set in July.
Their single Paradise is currently at number eight on the ARIA chart.
