The world famous Lion King musical will return to Sydney in 2013 and the state government says it will make the city a tourist magnet.
The musical finished up in 2003 after running for two years and playing to 1.35 million people.
It will reopen at the Capitol Theatre from December next year.
Tourism minister George Souris says the 2013 production was expected to attract half a million visitors from interstate and overseas, generating $36 million for NSW.
