Jessica Simpson is the latest celebrity who's name has been linked to a judging role on American Idol.
The actress and singer has reportedly had several meetings with Idol producers.
The position has been left vacant by Simon Cowell, who left the program this year to start up the American version of his British talent show, The X Factor.
Other potential candidates named include Justin Timberlake and Chris Isaak.
