Europe's biggest automaker has announced a merger.
Volkswagon will join with luxury sports car maker Porsche, to form a new German auto giant.
After weeks of 'intensive talks' between the boards of both companies, Porsche's family of owners asked for the creation of an integrated car group.
It will have 10 separate car brands under one management.
